Zabaleta injury.

hope it wasnt a dislocation ... speaking from experience, something he doesnt want. never fully recover.

I know Stu Brennan's tweeted it's medial ligament damage, so pardon my ignorance for asking but how does he know that?

I.e., wouldn't they have to wait for the results of a scan over the next few days to find out if it's medial or his cruciate? Or is that something you can tell immediately (whether it's medial or cruciate)?

I'm hoping he's right enough, anyone able to confirm yay or nay?

I've done both and generally you can tell straight away from reaction pain and pull tests. Would expect scans before club announce though. Medial is the better and a side on injury

I'm just recovering from a grade 2 sprain of my medial collateral ligament. Just started running again after 7 weeks. Mind you I'm 52 and have only been having physio once a week!!!

It certainly looks like one of the 6 month injuries that have plagued Premier League clubs so far this season, but fingers crossed it's not as bad as it seems.
