Wasn't he captain of Argentina at one point ?Always found it odd that he is nowhere near the captaincy or even vice captaincy. Can't recall him ever wearing the armband when from the stands he appears to be the embodiment of that very type of player.

Seriously, this wonderful man HAS to stay connected to this wonderful club. He bleeds the blue cause.
But he loves the game and part of mecan see him moving on if he feels he's beyond usefulness to continue playing, you could see in the interview the thoughts about his age were on his mind in terms of his playing career.
He's just a terrific person and I forgot to post the youtube link last month to the inside city from a few years back where he has his father christmas hat on and smiles 'Father Christmas is a blue!'. On the other hand contrary to my last paragraph fatherhood definitely suits him so he may retire relatively young for the sake of that, rather than move on! I'm rambling.
