Johnson can't defend.
The only thing Zab is lacks is speed, and if he had some would be one of the best full backs in the world. Maybe a bit of bias, but i genuinely believe it. He also dives in a bit to much, but seems to have sorted that of late.
His footballing brain is brilliant, and he can also use both feet. Johnson couldn't play left back in a million years. Zab is also a great pro, who gives 100% every game. Has been here less time than Tevez and is a fluent English speaker.
What a guy.

Zabaleta all day long.
Not the most gifted player in the world, but never gives less than 100% in whatever position he's asked to play. Never goes missing the way Glen Johnson does. Doesn't sulk when he's not in the side. He's a total professional, and I just get the feeling he loves the club as much as we do.

Better player is always the wrong tack for me. Would always prefer the question: Who would you sooner have in your team? I'd have Zab, thank you very much!

Glen Johnson is one of the worst defensive full backs i've ever seen.
wud have to be pablo for me when u look at the form jonhson as in a england shirt and the fact we payed £6.45 million from Espanyol and liverpool payed 17.5 million from portsmouth i"d say we got better value for money for a world class holding midfielder / Full back johnson may have scored a few more goals does"t make him world class tho
