Zabaleta Out? Right back discussion {merged}

This situation is exactly why we have to replace Richards. This should be his moment to get some games under his belt and challenge Zabs but he's always injured, completely unreliable.

I remember when we had Rekik at LB for a couple games and we looked fine, an EDS RB will do alright as long as he does as he's told and gets decent cover from the midfield.

Well just bring an eds player in then if they do good job n forget Micah a minute - by the way he's got the same injury as zab !!

-- Wed Dec 18, 2013 2:37 am --

100% agree on that, these are the rare occasions (when Zaba is injured) that illustrate how much of a liability Richards' injury problems are.

The club's patience must be nearly at an end with his total inability to stay fit. Micah has missed an average of half of every season throughout his career.

Yawn,yawn fucking yawn !!

clichy at right back , naturally right footed , and less disruption to the team , replace aguero with milner and play 5 in midfield , Pants - clichy , kompany , demichelis , kolarov - milner , nasri , yaya , dinho , silva - negredo , still very strong team , job done.

not sure if clichy is right footed, but I would go with this too.

Milner to give cover pn right. Nasri, silva, negredo attacking with yaya and milner also supporting them should be plenty enough to cause problems to fulham

Maybe when he was 3. Anyone watching can see he is now a left footed player.

-- Wed Dec 18, 2013 3:29 am --

We have to play our best team and then fill that RB spot, not shift our team around to try and make a fix in that area thus disrupting our performance and fluidity.

So I think it should be Milner because he'll concentrate and can go forwards and backwards with good ability, so I'd play this for Fulham:

----------------------------Pantilimon-------------------------

Milner-----Kompany(c)----Demichelis---Kolarov---

----------------Fernandinho-------Yaya-----------------------

Navas---------------------Nasri-------------Silva-----------

---------------------------Negredo-------------------------

Couldnt agree more. I pray this is the team that starts against Fulham.

I think you know we are right, this situation highlights the problem in having an injury prone back up Right Back. I love Micah but the team comes first and his constant injuries are proving to be a liability. Yes he's got the same injury as Zab, the problem is he ALWAYS has a bloody injury.

I hope an EDS lad is chosen and raises to the occasion, should do them the world of good.

wasnt it only last year Mancini was praising him for giving his right foot extra practice and saying he was proficient with it hardly think he is a natural right footer and have never saw any evidence this is the case though I'm open to be proven wrong

... You all clearly don't remember the title season where he played a few on the right?

English Dave will be able to cover.

With Richards becoming a perminent sicknote or so it seems I'd try and bring in a high profile loan in January. If Micah can't get properly fit/ or a run in the team come summer sign another RB and sad to say flog him.
