Zab's Tackle Last Night

I love Zabaleta the lad just loves a good hard tackle, I hope he dosent take this out of his game because thats a massive part of the way he plays, keep crunching people Zaba :)

Got to be honest here,

Zab is really starting to piss me off. Is he really in this for the team, cos if he is then he should engage his brain first. The yellow card he picked up last night was not needed. We weren't under any threat but instead of shepparding him he lunges in, the big macho man that he is, and now picks up a suspension to what is already a thread bare defence.

This isn't the first time he has made rash challenges when they aren't needed.

Sort it out Zab!

He's a liability. He's gonna cost us if he carries on, needs to cut out the rash tackling or he'll be fucked off

I agree that he needs to learn when to dive in & when to stay on his feet, but I would just like to make the point about his age! The lads still only 24, which in terms of a defender, is quite young!

I think because he looks a little older than he actually is, people expect him not to be so rough around the edges. We all know what a quality defender he is though, so if Bobby Manc can sort out this tendency of his to get himself booked, we'll have some player on our hands.

He's a bit of a liability at times when it comes to putting in tackles around the area. Lost count of the amount of needless free-kicks he's given away, which have either led to goal-scoring chances or even worse - goals....as was the case against Liverpool in November.

Not to mention the sendings off. He just needs to learn when to use aggression and when you to engage his brain. He's a very good player, just frustrating at times.

Was a crazy and needless tackle but i couldn't help but laugh at it just for how needless it was, seemed like he had his eye on him from an earlier tackle.

You can't take those tackles out of zab's game. Doing so will lose you half the player. You need somebody like Zab in your squad, he's a quality player and i expect him to be around for many years to come.

Nearly cost us a goal as well.
Very difficult to defend that free kick and just went past the post.
Dives in in dangerous possitions. Cost us against Liverpool last season when he got sent off and could have cost us last night.

Lets not ignore his pass to Tevez for his headed miss and his goal saving tackle against Wolves. Think he has been brilliant servant for city and long may he keep his place
