A bad acquisition - was never anywhere near up to it, although we'll be lucky to get any more backups as good as Ortega. Seemed a good guy though so all the best

Unreal from Txiki if we got a fee after he has been injured for so long and wasn't looking too sharp at boro before that.
Actually thought he was a good back-up for a while. Definitely played a big part in us winning the League Cup in 2021 and made that big save from Lo Celso when it was 0-0 in the final, and he always seemed capable of filling in for Premier League games when Ederson was injured. But yeah, he always had a mistake in him and I think he just looked overwhelmed after a while. Then Ortega came in and was immediately good enough to be our full-time first-choice goalkeeper and there was no way back for Steffen. Leaves City having played 21 games (8 clean sheets) and with three trophies to his name. Good luck to him!

Its an MLS thing, the team that signs him out of college owns the player rights. these need to be bought before registering with another team etc.
