I guess we need a thread, because apparently we're signing him (and Paul Tenorio is very reliable for MLS news). Surely one for CFG?

Report is he will be a backup for Ederson. Columbus would not sell if he would go to their rivals I reckon.

He’s cheap and young.

Could see us keeping him as the number two rest of the season and send Muric back to Breda. Then let Steffen go on loan next year for the last year of Bravo's contract, or just replace Claudio if he leaves/retires.

There was a rumor Bristol City put a bid on him couple months back.

Best goalkeeper in the MLS by quite a distance. Fantastic shot stopper, 23 and already U.S.A. number one. Could come in as a back up for Ederson, he seems adequate with his feet but Columbus don't really play our style of passing from the back. A loan could be more realistic as Breda or Girona?

Or could he be intended for NYC FC?
Unlikely, Columbus Crew will probably still hold Steffen's MLS rights so would be able to sign him if he rejoins the league.
Secondly, if he wanted to be playing MLS football, he'd have just stayed where he is.
Thirdly, NYCFC already have one of the best keepers in the league is Sean Johnson, who is unlikely to lose his spot.
