Rated supertalent in Eindhoven. Signed a 3 year contract in Eindhoven this year bit fairly unhappy. Was told he could train with the 1st team (has also been nailed down in his contract), but PSV is not living up to their side of the contract. City contacted him again during his last match for the national team (under 17 or 19) to check out his contract for any flaws. I wouldn't be suprised if there were any flaws in the contract. Last year, Zakarya Labyad left on a free agent to Sporting Lisbon due to flaws in hi contract. Also, the contract was signed by Bakkali's aunt! :D

PSV faced the same problems with Riechedly Bazoer (signing for Ajax) and Menno Koch (other large talent who already made his debut).

He is? Would be a nice twist in that saga haha. Latest news in dutch newspaper (saturday) was his manager admitting he will sign for Ajax

Hmm very interesting. Google translate if awful with Dutch so I can only grab little bits of it. We will see I guess. As he was in Manchester last week as well

We've been chasing Bakkali since 2011, he signed a contract with PSV instead, but now it seems he wants to go to England. This is the lad who the Mirror called "the best teenager in the world" when we were linked with him, no idea how true that is.

Signed a contract today.

If I remember correctly he was chosen best player at the NextGen series last year? Anyhow, he still prefers PSV above City. But a lack of playing time might change his mind. He played part of the 2nd half at the PSV U21 match last week. Transfer fee to bring him into City should be around €2.5 million

Van de Sar just just been appointed Marketing Director at Ajax. The tentacles of the rags spread all over the world. (Beckham possibly going to PSG?)
