Zimbabwe goes to the polls today to elect a leader and government, the question is why are they bothering?
The opposition leader Morgan Tsvangarai is making his 3rd attempt to unseat Robert Mugabe who has been in power for 33 years and is now 89 years old
Mr Tsvangarai has admitted that he will face an uphill battle as Mugabes government apparatus has widely believed to have rigged the poll already, it has come to light that Mugabes men hold a list of one million people who are dead or have left the country and this will be used just in case the vote seems to be going against Mugabe
At the last election Tsvangarai gave up campaigning as widespread violence was used by Mugabes government against Tsvangarai and his supporters
Looks like Mugabe will be there until he dies then

Exactly the same scenario here in Cambodia this week.

Same PM for last 25 years, announced victory few hours polls had closed despite it being obvious the new opposition had clearly won a huge majority around the Country. Demanding recounts and protests threatened this week.

approx. 1.5million voters who turned up to vote (in opposition areas) were told their names werent on the list, video evidence of the current regime voters taking 3 ballots to post and hundreds of thousands of dead relatives apparently have risen and voted at the weekend (wonder who for?!)

Pretty tense here in Phnom Penh at the moment... but its 5.04pm and its time for a beer :)

Voted; 2,500,000

Mugabe wins election securing vote by 7,000,000 votes.

Fair my arse...
