Incumbent ZanuPF and opposition MDC both declaring victory - 7 seats declared but its now suggested it could take up to 5 days to declare the rest..............hmm - wonder if there is some Mugabe lead jiggery pokery going on?

Exactly the same thing is happening now in South Africa
One of my neighbours was told to leave his farm or be killed, they gave him 4 days, and apparently killing involves torture.

Yep my mate has left SA he went to visit his mum as his nanna passed. It's the pits you have to have big guard dogs just to give you time to defend yourself when they break in. They kill the dogs but by then you should hopefully have your gun aimed at them. And yes the killing involves rape and torture. The whole place needs to start over as it is a wonderful terrain ruined.

Am old enough to remember the foundation in 1963 of the original ZANU (by then leading light of the time Ndabaningi Sithole) and, nearly 40 years ago, the fall of white minority rule under Ian Smith and the victory of ZANU-PF under Mugabe. Sad what has subsequently happened to a country which had so much unrealised potential. I, too, have relatives - by marriage - who left the country before it all went ‘tits-up’.

I was told by a Zimbabwean that Mugabe was good for the country. It was when he remarried and his new wife's influence over him that sent things tits up

Yes, I hope didn’t seem to imply (as wording of my post may suggest) that it was the end of white minority rule - which had, rightly, to happen - and the election of Mugabe that marked the beginning of misgovernment in Zimbabwe.
