Veganism

there is no merit to stopping people eating meat. It is part of the fabric of human civilisation and development, a healthy and core component of the diet and nature determines the laws of nature and is a far superior judge than a small sub-section of society.

What about the choice of the animal who wants to live. Do you think they would see the merit in people not eating them?

Do you think our morality should be based on "the laws of nature"?

It is a dog eat dog world, just because you feel safe at the moment doesn't mean it isn't true. We don't regard human life never mind other animals, we will be top dogs until we encounter something else one day and we become the food. Hopefully the fat Americans will keep them full whilst we escape.

I struggle to see the merit in what most humans think, let alone an animal. Then again, most human utterances can be summed up by "moo", "baa" and "oink". If we weren't supposed to eat them then we wouldn't have developed off the back of them being so productive and beneficial to us. You've been given the choice because of that development and each to their own from that point, but the pontificating is unreasonable, ill-judged, misdirected and unbecoming.

Does it make something morally acceptable because it was beneficial to us in the past? It could be argued that 200 years ago our society benefited from slavery being productive & beneficial, to the people who weren't slaves, does that mean it was unreasonabe, ill-judged, misdirected and unbecoming that people thought it should be abolished?

How would you feel if you suddently became someone else's food in this imagined future? Do you think it would be justified for them to cut you up and eat you, because they were now the dominant species or would you prefer it if they left you to go about your own business?

You don't get the choice in the matter as you are no longer top dog.

Animals don’t think like us humans though ffs. Most meat is bred for one reason, if it wasn’t needed they wouldn’t be here in the first place.
