Our GKs recently have been Ace in saving penalties.Hart did Willy Bravo and now Ederson.
Generally feel usually confident when we give a penalty bcoz we usually save them

IIRC, Trautmann saved almost 50% of pens.

AIR, he saved a good number of them by catching them one-handed with his left!

Can someone explain to me why they think Hart was good at saving penalties? He saved a terrible Messi penalty once but I'm struggling to remember him save any others.

Assuming these are accurate, and my arithmetic is correct, Hart saved 8 of the 17 penalties he faced whilst playing for us. Not a bad average, really.

So less than 50% for City, obviously got worse as on that link it says - saved penalties 14, not saved 41 (34% saved is pretty bad).

34% is excellent. In the Premier League there have been 1,997 penalties taken, only 247 saved, with 80 missed. That's a save rate of 12% and an overall unsuccessful rate of 16%.

It also highlights how utterly extraordinary Trautmann's 60% save rate is.

sad thing is we've had to face 19 penalties, many of them dubious. Wonder how many De Gea has faced in the same period...

You really don’t want to be comparing penalty stats with them as it doesn’t fit the narrative! We actually get lots more given and lots less given against.

can't remember the last time de gea faced one, considering the behaviour they get up to. Newcastle away springs to mind

We do our research on whether the wall jumps or not so no doubt the keepers will know where the PK takers normally go.

Yep. A little graphic popped up showing where Aubameyang usually places his penalty the other day, and that's exactly where Ederson went.
