The Conservative Party/Government

why would Hester put it out there that he had tried to contact Dianne Abbot a couple of times if it was untrue? Like all these things its not the deed its the being found out that brings on the shame.
Even if it were true, would you answer a call from someone who says you should be shot?

Tory MP getting a mauling by Ed Balls on ITV's Good Morning Britain. Better not to have come on.

every single day they soil themselves in public - surely they know its best to sack it off now? Fuck the money if you want a decent job post politics it can't be good to have an interview available for anyone to see on-line showing yourself up as a card carrying fucking balloon

I long for the day where the government isn’t occupying the headlines because of some random bollocks but actually… you know… running the country.

This absolute non-stop, relentless, Conservative Party psychodrama is just utterly exhausting.

It was bubbling away for decades but in the last decade it has really sucked the lifeblood out of the country. In a sane world there would be no coming back ever from the way they've behaved in power over the last few years.

they should all put a letter in to the 22 committee and force an election because at this rate they are making themselves not only unelectable but unemployable in the future.

Imagine this guy sat at a table pitching and offer to a company and those listening being aware this is his track record? They would just get security to escort him out of the building and stopping the waste of their time. I don't watch The Apprentice and I dislike Sugar but put 2 teams of Tory MP's in front of him and he would shred them.

The FPTP system makes pre-election coalitions inevitable. Hence, both Labour and Tory parties are 'big tents' for a whole range of views.

It's just becoming apparent to all that the Tory big tent includes virulent racists and nativists. These people have a constituency, let's admit it. It's no use denyng that a section of our society broadly agrees with them.

The Tories' problem is they can't afford to dump any part of their 'coalition'. Though I strongly suspect that many Tories abhor such attitudes.

The Tory ‘big tent’ is shrinking to the point where racists and extreme nationalists are the only ones allowed in. The collapse of the centre right in continental Europe is now being mirrored in the UK - a space Starmer is trying to fill. Same could be said of the US.
