Let's not forget.... City provided more players to the world cup than any other club - to a world cup in the middle of our domestic season. Great yeah - well we're certainly paying for in on the pitch at present. Lethargic performances, one after another.
However, the main thing I cannot...
Cancelo. Where is his head at the moment? Gifts the scousers a goal, then red carded, now booked for diving. Disgraceful!
We have 5 centre backs but instead of them being hungry for game time in the two centre back positions they are being used as full backs so 3 of them get a game. No hunger...
Agree Foden has been less effective so far this season but this might be because Cancelo provides less support while playing the inverted full back position in midfield? Foden is often isolated.
Phil is looking less influential but then maybe that's because he's often isolated with Cancelo playing in the middle of the park. Phil is not a natural left wing but he's a master at 2 on 1 overlap play - and needs back up.
Has to be the overture to Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss.
Such a brilliant, all-encompassing, overture that there was a complete Tom & Jerry Film made utilising it - Tom & Jerry at The Hollywood Bowl, 1950
How football works......
Brighton value Cucurella at £50M.
We don't think he is worth £50M and will not pay it.
Another team thinks he is worth £50M and are willing to pay it.
Therefore, Brighton are right. Cucurella's value is £50M!
It's not rocket science. It's a market - demand/supply/price...
Can't question the team's effort last night. We were done by Real's 93:20 Aguero moment!
The boys left nothing out there on the pitch.
Despite have a 'big and expensive' squad, the reality is that Pep is playing with 15-16 players, and with the number of games played in all competitions, most...
I appreciate everything that Pep does for the club but there has to be a Plan B in matches like this when the other team puts 10 behind the ball on a small pitch. Similarly the players need a different mentality. 95th minute, last attack, a throw in on the left side, ball launched into the box...
A question. The Dippers love to play towards the Kop second half and always choose this if they win the coin toss. However, they seem to attack the Kop in the 2nd half of what seems like 99% of games. Anyone else notice this? A few years back Vinny won the toss and chose to attack the Kop in the...
They didn't have 10 men behind the ball and they didn't park the bus. The front 3 offered very little in defence. We were so slow in transition that they were constantly able to get 6 men back to defend before we created an opportunity
