I'm sure I read in chapter 1 of his memoirs "There I was living in Clayton-le-Moors" That says to me he moved down Whalley Rd to Clayton at some point Don't suppose you know where he lived in Clayton?

They've just tweeted yesterday I think it was, that they'll be performing Close To The Edge rather than Relayer as it's the 50th anniversary of it's release on September 13th of this year

Album you wish you were hearing for the first time.

Tales From Topgrpahic Oceans by Yes, first time I heard it was when they played it live at the FTH in Novemebr of '73 before it had been released. Don't remember the gig too much, so would love that experience again. Stll listen to it now, the Steven Wilson remix is fantastic.

    Prog rock

It was 28th and 29th November 1973. Still remember it to this day, they played all of the Close To The Edge album in the first half and then Tales in it’s entirety in the second half. I was sat in the 3rd row from the front almost centre stage Still play it almost every week.

Album of the day - Peter Gabriel (So)

So was the where the first 4 albums lead him to On each of the previous 4 there was a hit single, a political song and an expression of his will to experiment, So is not an exception to this As said previously the difference is Daniel Lanois, look at his CV at the time, produced the Joshua Tree...

The Greatest Debut Album Of All Time... (as voted by Mad Eyed Screamer)

Only been mentioned once but Raintown by Deacon Blue was outstanding as a debut My mate used to tell people to buy it and if they didn't like it he would give them their money back He didn't put his hand in his pocket once! Also to be fair their second was a cracker too
