In terms of technical ability and decision making when having a ball, he's already a first team player. He could easily be picked ahead of Bernardo and wouldn't look out of place. He's special. Sooner or later Pep will have to find a formation that accommodates Phil to play alongside KDB and Merlin.

I was thinking the same when Phil came on today. I think we will see him a lot more deeper into the season. You’d have thought sancho would have got minutes if he stayed.

Seems like he has stuck a good friendship with Bernardo in some of the City videos.
