Guardiola fined £20,000 for wearing yellow ribbon (p140)

I have no idea what you are getting at?

I’m saying Britons don’t have freedom of speech, you appear to think they do, then tell me to say something that might be offensive to prove my point??? That does not appear to bolster your argument, but appears to bolster mine...by trying to get me to “incriminate” myself.

First they came for one word, but I didn’t speak out because I don’t say that word.....

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Bravo. Well done for not incriminating yourself.

I think we should start a campaign for an independent Manchester, if we make our banner the same as the English badge the F.A. will have to withdraw it from being on England shirts otherwise they would be making a political statement.

And that's the point. Whatever anyone's view on the UAE our owners have been excellent vis-a- vis their stewardship of the club.
The political situation in the UAE is wrong, dead wrong and I'll never approve of it. That said, compared to their neighbours they're a shining light. Not that that's an excuse.

Pep has said he wears the ribbon in support of jailed politicians, he has not said he wears it in support of Catalonian independence, he is not wearing it for political reasons, therefore he has no case to answer. People supported Nelson Mandela when he was in prison not just for political reasons but ethical.
