I wonder what the reaction will be when we beat the scum come April in the home game. Sanchez’s face will be a picture but at least he will be upto date with the trending dabs and daft handshakes

You sound to be in a panic. Calm down, it's all good.

Hopefully. You're right though, too long suffering with the likes of Gerry Creaney while they hoovered up the big names. Now we have the cash to do something about it, it's frustrating we are not pulling away from them, it feels like we just seem afraid at board level to really put our foot down and leave our rivals unable to catch up for years, especially since the debacle of the 2012 summer.

Of course we've made great signings since then, especially last summer, but when it comes to real, top level game changer, the traditional cartel or a continental giant still seem to get those. We do need to increase our commercial income and worldwide fanbase too, and those kind of signings (Hazard, Neymar, Mbappe, Bale, Sanchez, Kane) help with that as well as improving the first team. It's disappointing we only ever seem to sign the level just below those.

Relatively in comparison to others.
To who?

We're 12 points ahead of second place, scored the most goals and have a +18 GD on the nearest team.

How does Sanchez going to United makes us weaker "relatively in comparison to others"? Even when he wouldn't be our best player if we signed him.

No doubt he will turn up in a Rolls Royce, fur coat and draped in gold to show off his new found wealth.

At the end of the day the Rags have stolen a player from under our noses and go into the rest of the season much stronger and we will be weaker. You can dress it up in as much prose as you like but that fact is hard to refute. Hopefully it will be redressed in the summer but for the rest of the season we are disadvantaged and it is just as well that that lead is 12 points.

Arsenal had him and they are 6th, one player does not make a team.

United have played dire football because that is what the manager demands and they will continue to do so.

It's not about individual game changers, it's about constructing an integrated, harmonious team that believes in each other and the philosophy of the manager and the club. That is the formula that always proves unbeatable. Buying egotistic individuals for the name is unsustainable and fractures team unity. We are building a squad of hungry young guns who are playing for each other, the manager and the club. The last thing we want are egomaniacs who think they are doing the club a favour by being here.
We were prepared to sign Sanchez because we believed he wanted to join us to better his prospects of winning trophies. As soon as it turned out that winning wasn't his primary aim we weren't interested.
Our club is doing things the right way for the right reasons. All we need to do is be patient and support the club in it's endeavour to make us one of the top clubs in the world.

Utd have done really well out this. They have signed a proven 20+ goals a season player and swapped him basically for a player they have no use for. Yes there are the wages but it’s a monthly salary and the agent fee but who cares he’s a quality quality player
He has ONE season where he has scored 20 or more League goals , there is a myth that he is a garenty 20 goal a season player
