Any past or present City player everybody seems to rate but you don't

Robinho , world class rated striker but was only signed on deadline day to raise the profile of our club and was the epitome of the term "mercenary" , he joined for the money , not the project or the club or the manager. But his signing did the job because other star players signed like Yaya who actually gave a f*ck and were great signings , but Robinho will always be classed as a disappointment in my humble opinion, but he would have suited the Rags down to the ground , how many shirts would he have sold at the Swamp ?

He was fucking brilliant to be fair, just joined us at a weird time; he went from playing at Real Madrid to lining up alongside Ched Evans and PED Ireland in a Le Coq Sportif kit in the space of a few months, and still carried us to an extent in the first season. The summer after we just stockpiled strikers so had to revert to an orthodox 4-4-2 to accommodate them, and his role on the left suddenly became about as much defending as attacking and he naturally lost interest.

Still probably the most naturally talented/entertaining footballer we’ve ever had. He was unfortunate that football became more about rigid algorithmic systems and stat padding superstars as he began to reach his prime, but he still had an impressive career playing for and winning titles with some of the biggest clubs in the world.

We must have differing opinions of what is 'fucking brilliant'

Dickov. Top bloke, scored one of the most important goals in our history but would anyone remember him otherwise.

One of the most futile discussions.. if everyone rates a player than how can you not, as you are part of everyone ?? I guess that is being pedantic but unless you are more specific you end up with a mish mash of comments about players that mean nothing. As for the guy who commented about Nijinsky, FFS, shoot him.
Pointless thread just City fans winding each other up.

To be fair Kompany’s form purely from a defensive perspective nosedived after Mancini left, to a point where Demichelis became our most reliable defender for about 18 months til his legs went. He never looked like he belonged at Champions League level either.

He primarily made a name for himself ragdolling Rooney in the derbies and a few iconic goals, but he his peak here came as part of a system that also made Lescott look like a top 4 defender. Dias and Stones last year reached levels I’ve never seen from City central defenders, as reflected in the fact they were probably the catalysts for us reaching our first CL final.
Fucking hell
