Simply, yes. We never learn, we never kick on, we are still way short of what the owners want us to achieve and we as fans want also i.e. European and domestic dominance

The team is going backwards (doing that without pace also !)

'Typical City' and 'Cityitis' are still with us after all.

If ever we needed to win the next 2 (Utd and CSKA) (in fact 3 Utd, CSKA and then away at QPR) games we do now.

I think we are actually making the same mistakes as last season as opposed to 2012/13. We are shuffling our defence around too much, have played Fernando alongside Yaya as opposed to Fernandinho and have therefore caused some uncertainty in the side and players are having to gel and have lost some of that confidence.

Last season it was injury induced, this season clearly Pellegrini is trying to manage the squad following world cup exploits on top of a long season. Clichy has been poor, Sagna hasn't quite settled and Zabaleta has been below par in certain games. Mangala needs time to adapt but I don't think it is beneficial for him to be playing one game with Kompany and another with Demichelis, it won't help the partnership develop.

We seem to be conceding far too many chances, whether right through the middle or past our full backs. I think that is largely down to some of our attacking players expecting the same defence as last time out, where opposition players were pressed up the pitch and the ground was covered by Fernandinho. This time around Fernando is having to settle and adapt to the pace but has been hit and miss as you would expect. Behind him you have Mangala also trying to adapt to playing here, and alongside Kompany. Meanwhile his fullback is changing every game.

We need to be playing a consistent side and allow the new players an easier transformation. We aren't being as cut throat in front of goal and perhaps the mentality of the likes of Yaya can be questioned, maybe he doesn't want it enough this time out.

Pellegrini has admitted his concerns and that gives me confidence we aren't heading the same way as 2012/13. Mancini blamed things on transfers and never galvinised the squad. Pellegrini has said he will work with the players to get to the bottom of the issue and give the side more confidence. Hopefully they get a kick up the arse and get things right this week and we go out and beat the rags. I do think we need to play Yaya further forward in Silva's absence with the two Fernan's behind. We have Milner, Nasri, Navas, Jovetic who can all play wide with Aguero up top.

Our main problem is that we don't have anyone in midfield who can beat a man. Chelsea have hazard, united (not that they are any sort of benchmark) have di Maria, arsenal have Sanchez. We need someone with lightning pace who will open up pockets for the likes of silva, dzeko, nasri etc. We obviously have aguero who is devastating up front and he's been our main threat this season. Last year yaya was that beast taking on defences but he's still crying over his cake.

We didn't give him away! He was young, unproven and demanding £50,000 a week. We refused his demands and then Chelsea took him and we were paid compensation. If we had have paid him £50,000 a week we would have been disolved as a club when all the actual proven players knocked on the door and demanded £300,000 a week in response.
