Kompany has been out for too long to walk back into the team. If Aguero can train this week, then it's possible he could start, but we should know by now that Aguero is going to be sub his own standards for weeks.

The bigger problem is midfield.

---------------------Hart
Sagna---Otamendi---Mangala---Kolarov
----------Fernandinho--Delph
--------De Bruyne--Silva--Sterling
--------------------Bony

I'd be very happy with a point.

If we can go there, avoid a defeat, and have Kompany, Zabaleta and Aguero on the road back, then things will be looking up.

Swans win gave us some breathing space

It is imperative we play three in midfield, including Delph and Fernandinho. Anything else would he disastrous.

This. Massive 3 points against swansea. If we get a point against arsenal and then a win against Sunderland. We'll be In poll position going into the new year!

This. The lack of pace and movement in our play is also showing us up badly. Indeed, on current League form Arsenal will tear us a new one.

Just to add a bit of balance, Arsenal's current league form is one win in four, including a defeat at West Brom and draw at Norwich.

Hopefully both Aguero and Kompany will be back but they returned from injuries in this fixture at the beginning of the year and were both pretty poor, although I'm not sure our defence could get any worse tbh. If Bony plays then it allows their defence to step up and squeeze our midfield, which we all know we struggle badly with, so having Aguero is important just to keep their defence deeper. If Aguero isn't fit then Sterling should play as a striker as he'll be able to do this as well. Fernandinho and Delph should both play as Ozil would run riot otherwise, don't really want Yaya playing in this one but we all know he will and he looked quite up for it yesterday so he probably deserves it.

Does anyone know if Sanchez will be playing?

Hopefully 9 days will be enough time for Vinny and Kun to recover.
