Away game without a ticket

I've seen a few posts recently on here and the Facebook ticket pages where people have said they can collect at the ground as they are going down without a ticket.

Has anyone gone to the ground and not managed to get a ticket?
If so, what did you do and where did you then watch the match?

Getting harder now to get tickets so planning ahead!
brighton 2019 the last time

but hundreds were down ticketless and we partied the night away.

chelsea 2017 nefore that been to a gig in london the night before, me n my brother missed out on a match tickets so did the full pre match with those mates who had ticket, see if anyone had a spare then watchd it in a pub round the corner and met the rest after

There are ALWAYS people who get sick on the day or can't make it for some reason. It helps if you know good people (people running coaches/supporters clubs etc). At Wolves a few years ago, I got to a pub nice and early and asked literally everyone in there if they had a spare. Someone did. Early bird catches the worm!
Remember going to QPR in the early 90s sitting on the floor of an escort van all the way, got tickets in the home end from a scout master who had had scouts not turn up, minded my Ps n Qs that day ;-)

I had a scouts ticket for the wigan cup game when they beat us 1-0 and was in the wigan end.
Was sat directly behind arsenal scouts as we were playing them in the carabao cup final at the weekend.

Every time silva got the ball, I was loudly saying they shouldn't pass to him as he is crap especially when he has space.
Channelled by inner Malcom Allison :)

Did Fulham away last year, strange experience.
Me and my better half went down for the weekend, missed out on our points. Put a message out on here and got one spare. Gave that to the Mrs, walked her to the ground. Went back to the pub and watched it there.
What you don't realise is how much you sober up during the match when you are there, watching it in an empty pub I was rat arsed when she got back!!

I’ve done it plenty of times and more often than not I’ve been lucky , a few years ago at Wolves the very last City fan going in to the game said , you after a ticket … just luck sometimes .

I’ve heard you can just photocopy someone else’s ticket, have a nice wholesome day smashing up a town centre, jump the fence, enjoy the game and then blame everything on the nasty horrible corrupt police when they kick you out.
