its good ... not far from foot of Ramblas and Gothic

only thing to watch is that the Subway entrance is tiny and there can be really bad crushing if busy
there is a lift just along from it which is better and safer ( if busy )

Actually, it looks like I got it wrong. My hotel is a couple of miles up from the Barceloneta station in the El Poblenou area. The nearest metro station to my hotel is Poble Nou which I guess will be a bit quieter.only thing to watch is that the Subway entrance is tiny and there can be really bad crushing if busy
