Best away trips

Had so many good away trips, but one classic we still talk about was Oxford (1984 I think), 13 of us in a transit van went down Friday and came back Sunday - the whole trip could easily have been a pilot for an American Pie type of film....girls, booze, arrests, us v Chelsea in a Reading nightclub, you name it - it seemed to happen on that weekend!
 
Remember before going to Lokeren we were told that we would be escorted by the police from the train station to the ground and back again cos it was only a year after the Charloir incident. Then getting off the train at Lokeren station and seeing about twenty coppers stood looking sheepish and the entire street down to the big square was a sea of people.

Best is QPR for me - shit ground but great atmosphere!!
Newcastle is good for a trip but you need binos in the ground
Sheff Wed is another favourite and I like Grimsby and this season Hull was good.
Both Dippers are good days out but are shit away ends especially Everton.
Worst by far has got to be Reading its miles from anywhere as was Northampton.
And finally enjoy a trip to Rochdale cos I can stagger to and from it.
 
Aye, EB/Streymur in the Faroes was my best away trip....even though it ended up lasting two weeks!
 
Groclin,in berlin night before,got taxi minibus from the polish border 12 of us 15 euros each 5 hour round trip 4 crates of tyskie then into that house/bar near the ground,absolutely steaming and just as well due to the match being wank,gave the driver around 70quid tip between us when we got back to the border and he was in tears ,probably around months wages for him
 
Blackburn is always a good day out, the 4 - 1 win that got us promoted comes to mind, crying at half time and at full time for totally different reasons, quality.
