Look at seeing how much the repairs will cost and if it’s worth it buy it back. You should be able to buy it back for 20% of it’s value. Plus you will get the remainder as well

With any classic, always go for a classic car insurer (Footman James, Lancaster etc.) as they're usually pretty decent and won't fuck you over. I drive an old Mini with agreed valuation, pay just over £100 a year. Hope you get sorted, OP.
