Carlos Borges | Signed by Ajax for £12m

It's baffling that there never seemed to be any be any prospect of Borges being promoted to the senior squad at City. We got a reasonable fee for him and the likely prospect of more in a couple of years but it have been nice to see him given a chance.

I guess Bobb was seen as a better fit for the senior squad.

Not really.. Pep likes controlling pacey wingers more than just just pacey wingers.

Also if you believe the grapevine.. Ndala was rated higher than Borges, but we'll see if he makes it.

Another assist for him last night against RKC Waalwijk, lovely through ball, and he could have had a second assist had Brobbey's touch not been so heavy. Game had to be curtailed as the keeper was knocked unconscious in the latter incident- thankfully alright.
We should have kept him if only to have someone called Forbs in the first eleven...

The amount of goals and assists he had, should really have warranted him a go in the league cup early stages, I hope he does well, Ajax are a selling club so we may well get another wedge off him in the future.

Yeah it's weird.

Fans rated Borges but the staff didn't.

Staff rated Palmer and McAtee but both wanted to leave for game time.

Staff sent Perrone on loan and he looks like a 45 mil international defensive midfielder while Kalvin looks like a fringe player trying to break into the team!

I'm just gonna trust in Pep. Last year this time.. I never thought the key to winning the treble would be banishing Cancelo from the team!

I'm not saying they are wrong but what is a young lad meant to think when he has banged in 20+ goals and double figure assist and still isn't even getting close to a game.

Of course, you have to trust Pep but I'll just put out Lavia > Phillips and say no more lol
