Agree just worried about fatigue but like you say the cup win may just give us that energy for to kick on again.

Full strength today and play the kids and reserves on Wednesday. We could even rest a few for Stoke and still give them a battering.

We owe this lot from last season , Fabregas getting Dinho sent off , Luiz cheating and play acting , and the fact we played them off the park for 80% of the game was totally ignored because of Conte's "master class" , if we win and go 25 points clear of the champions and if Barca knock them out of the Champs league their club is in turmoil again and looking forward to Thursday night football and a new manager , what a difference 12 months make. If we stop Hazard , we stop Chelsea , with Chelsea having a free week and plenty of rest i would only expect a narrow victory after our exertions on Thursday night , 1-0 or 2-0 and then we can rest players in mid week , ahead of our big test of the season " can they do it on a cold night at Stoke City" yes we can Chuckle brothers.

we can't play kids on Wednesday, but we can rest Sergio, KDB, Sane, Otto, Walker, D Dilva , Kompany. and bring them all back for Stoke as after that next league game is 19 days later.

We can still play Stones,Laporte, Danilo, Zinchenko, Storling, Jesus, Gundagon, Benardo , Ederosn, Foden + 1(Yaya?)

Whatever team we play i would not use Gundagon as DM he needs to be further forward

A nice little team parade of the league cup to get the crowd going prior to kick off will have the necessary physiological “beaten in the tunnel” effect on both teams.

I made it into work on Thursday luckily I didn't turn onto the M62 at Rochdale got to work only me there nobody thought to let me know they had closed the depot :(

I think Chelsea having Kanté to protect their defence and us missing Fernandinho is the only area of the pitch where they'll be stronger than us today. Everywhere else we are superior and Hazard vs Sané is a flip of a coin in my opinion. I really hope Cahill starts as Sergio will have a field day. If we cope without Fern in midfield I think we'll win by 2 goals, I'm going for 3-1. Come on City.
