Club Badge (merged)

suprised at the timing of the badge launch.already you can buy key rings and badges on ebay.
so its 6 months of lost sales before you can buy any authentic merchedise from city

It's unfortunate, but the club really has no choice.

The new design will have to be with manufacturers now for next season's kits. If they did not release the new badge now, it would have been released by someone working in the factory on a poorly lit mobile phone picture. It happens every year.

At least releasing it now like they have done, they get to ensure good quality images get released.

I assume they must have contracts in place with existing suppliers, Nike, Kitbag, whoever makes the key rings etc, to sell merchandise with the existing badge until the summer.

The 6 month limbo period is unfortunate, but I think it's unavoidable.

Love this badge! Nice Transparent background PNG file if anybody needs it ;-)

as Noel Galagher says .. "when was the last time you saw an eagle in manchester"

might have something to do with every time they have made it since the mid 80's they have been shite versions

And to be fair also the obsession some have with the rags so much won't buy red even if it's city stuff
I'm one of them. There shouldn't be even one stitch of red ever on anything to do with City. I don't even put red sauce on my burger on a match day. Plus it's not an obsession it's standards!

Red has a lot to do with Manchester City, whether people like it or not.

And its something that, in my opinion, we should never have had as a kit. We didn't win the trophies we did because of the kit it was because we had a good side.

So pleased we have now got rid of the silly eagle and stars badge . . . The new badge is so much like our pre eagle badge that we could have just gone back to it but not complaining , I like the new badge, and now I can mate a return to the souvenir shop after an absence of too many years

It's a million times better than the eagle badge for me but that's because I grew up with the round badge and many people who grew up with the eagle badge will naturally have some affinity with that badge . . . If I had any criticism it would be the central shield would look better in my opinion if it was just inside the central circle rather than slightly overlapping it and this would give us a touch more blue in the badge too , maybe I'm just being picky .

I don't wear red as a rule except when it comes to either city stuff, the lanchastrian rose, Manchester coat of arms, a poppy or Socialist stuff, other than that it's a no no, So on 2 possibly 3 counts the badge is acceptable having red on it, and the red and black kit is a classic as was these 2 white aways with red in them
