Diving bans approved

Glad they're trying to do something about it but what a ridiculous way of going about it. Let's just use video evidence on the day and get things right first time around. In most instances, most players will gladly take the penalty now and deal with the suspension later.

on that basis, what do you think is?
Well, it's not wanting the referee to have the final call, as retrospective action already takes that away and there's nothing stopping the referee from reviewing the replay on the big screen for major decisions.

Edit: plus, referees make decisions from misleading angles all the time and any other sport using VR reviews from multiple angles.

The panel will consist of one ex-match official, one ex-manager and one ex-player.

we will be f**ked over again

They don't seem interested in getting fairness on the day, like you say the players will work around it,teams will still get screwed over and lose games on the day,it should be top of the list to get the correct result of the game

This wont come close to stopping diving, the system is open to interpretation and which then leads to abuse of the system. Piss poor decision.

You know what would stop diving giving teams an advantage...video technology!

And how does it work if the ref has already booked them for the dive? the ref will just book the ones that he doesn't want banned if it works like that, very shady and will not change the current trends of bias towards some teams

This part is really ridiculous, from the very beginning 2/3rds of the panel will have a prejudice either for or against the relevant player and in many cases an outright conflict of interest. For example, are an ex-Everton player and an ex-Chelsea manager going to recommend a ban for say, Shaqiri, if one of the games he'd be set to miss would be against Liverpool? Also, where's the appeal system and is that also going to be heard by former club employees?
