Do we need a hard man in midfield?

Ultimately we need some fighters, the likes of tevez and Bellamy... tenacious fuckers.

We also need clever hard men, the Italians defend so well and are as dirty as shit but get away with it. Subtle trips, pulls and kicks and really get into the psyche of the opponents.

It's a combination of the not so pretty things as well...it will help us to close out games.
This - hard men and fighters who build a reputation a reputation that tells opposition before taking the field that it would be very costly and dangerous to try and do what was done to Dave and Aguero today. Hard and tough fighters who play on the edge and are not worried about taking a red for team but make the red count.

We currently get slapped around by Arsenal, Arsenal who themselves get whipped around by rest of the league play us as if we are little babies.

What we really need is for Kun not to be the only blue shirt in the penalty box when a cross or pass goes in.

There's no role for hard players in the modern game sadly. Mike Doyle wouldn't get to Christmas without a couple of bans today. But you don't have to be hard to stand up for yourself and, just as importantly, team mates. Play like with the spirit we showed at Turf Moor last year and we'll be fine.

We need a couple of players that run and tackle. Not much to ask, is it? Except we don't have anyone that does both

Also, we need our players that start actively trying to get the opposition booked. Don't just sit there, moaning and tutting - scream, hold your knee and roll around. Worst way, they get a break and by the looks of yesterday they could do with all the rest they can get
