Schumer comes out looking like a good guy because he is willing to do a deal. I think the new kid is getting a lesson in closure. This is after all the guy that told the world he was the guy that could get the deal done.

On the Independent website is an article reporting from America that Trumps staff and transition team have been told to purge their electronic devices before being called before th House investigation into the Russia ties.....................nothing to see there then.............odd thing to do if they have nothing to hide..........
The Independent is the worst newspaper in the country for fabricating.
It sounds ridiculous when you have the Sun, Daily Mail, Mirror etc. but they really are terrible.
Everything is from "a secret source" and most of the time it's only them reporting it, whilst other newspapers share headlines and articles.
Some of the stuff they said about Brexit was ridiculous and they were printing it as fact when it was pure speculation... And getting it all very wrong. I know others speculated but not to the degree the Independent was talking nonsense.
The Guardian is by far the best left leaning paper as it doesn't tend to get hysterical and make wild claims, they seem to be sensible.
If the Independent have got a White House insider feeding them this information then fair enough but it's a case of the boy who cried wolf for me, I've given up believing the fuckers.

It does appear that he failed to recognise that senators do tend to have backbone on some issues, and do not just vote en bloc all the time.

Its only a matter of when not if Trump goes. He is either going to get so pissed off about not being able to get his own way. Or something like his ties with Russia will have him jump before he is pushed.
If the FBI and NSA provides evidence of collusion, then it's straight up Treason.
That would be my preferred option, but anything that leads to impeachment of that total nugget would be welcomed.
