I believe there is a tip top curry house with excellent barbeque grub in Paphos, Cyprus which happens to be run by one of God's Own Blues.

Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11, about 150 yards from the main road on the left, Zanzibar restaurant.
Superb food, decent prices, great ambience, jazz musician with singer in the background, love it there, it has an outside section which is just great when dining with friends.

My favourites are in Rome. If you believed the write ups on the first one, you probably wouldn't go as they are rated average, but the best meals I've had have been:
