If they go down, they're a very big fish in a small pond so plenty of glory hunters would tag onto them, where as, if they're struggling or mid table mediocrity, then the crowd will just dwindle

Going there this weekend to watch the Mighty Darlington FC.
Have to say a different club to when all the wannabe hooligan tosspots followed them.
As DD states stagnation is the worst possible thing for them.

Think they would lose more getting relegated they get more through the gate now than they did when in the division below winning most games.Which is what I'd rather see
