If we really are getting 4 new midfielders we need to keep our linchpin. Fernando going would make sense to me. Especially if we get in Delph and Fabinho.

Why would we sell our best midfielder when he is at his peak?

for me its down to the how much they are willing to spend to have him. he's been immense for us no doubt but can we say he's the only one that can do a similar job for us or that he is the one that can do it best? if they came requesting for a loan deal, i wouldn't even open the thread but when a suitor comes ready to drop 20 million pounds, i honesty would give it a second thought.

I wouldn't get hung up on age, both he and Yaya aren't showing any signs of decline. They could quite easily have 3-5+ seasons at the very highest level, that's a long time in football.
