Great player.
Said to my mate (Everton fan) who wasn't a big fan of his at the time, that he'll do a great job for Everton.
He now sees what we all saw in him.
Very underrated by rival fans for some reason.

That's because he isn't, never has been and never will be, a "MotD" type of player. He does the 'dirty' work breaking up attacks, rather than flying down the wing or scoring loads of goals.

He was the all rounder at Villa its just he was smart to see it was the position which needed filling in our team at that time when joining us. He has continued that style at Everton, great player everywhere he has been..... as for MOTD.... feck them.
