Heartbreaking moments as a City fan - when your favorite player leaves

All from when I was a kid

The modern era would be Sane, all our recent legends went at the right time.

Nigel de Jong (he put the absolute shits up every opposition) and Joe Hart from recent times.

Old days: Franny Lee, Dave Watson, Barnes/Owen

Paul Stewart
Clive Allen
Vedran Corluka
Matija Nastasic
Nastasic? Didn’t he devide opinion from the fans. No doubt he was a stylish player, but he had a mistake in him. I think I remember him and Hart messed up against Chelsea. Never recovered after that.

Strange despite all those hero’s that have been mentioned I think Merlin and Tevez were ones that left me sad that I wouldn’t see them in a blue shirt again. Although thinking back I remember being disappointed when Anelka left, he was some player on his day.

100% Peter Barnes. Met him at a charity match around 20 years ago. Told him I cried the day he left, he replied "So did I mate".

You must be fairly young because they come nowhere on my list.

Peter Barnes
Gary Owen
Shaun Wright Phillips.
Paul Stewart
Paul Power

Edit - David White too
This one hurt the most for me
