I don't mind drinking cheap gut rot, as long as it's sold as cheap gut rot. JD and most of the other bourbons sold in the UK are marketed as premium brands when in reality they are very poor, cheaply manufactured, glorified moonshine.
JD tastes like cheap perfume, it needs a mixer just to hide the taste of Lynx Africa.

The special price is worth it, but not in comparison to one of the cheapest blends on the market and a blend that has a bad rep.
Teachers Highland Cream is considered a cheap blend, but it has a very high peated malt content
(45%) and tastes fucking lovely for a blend. You can get it for £17 a litre at Tesco.
