Absolutely. Great confidence levels he must have now. Really effective pressing down tonight too, even when some distance from his own box. That hunger impressed as much as his usual passing quality.

Most impressive thing is that he has stepped up without Vinny being there (no doubt he's still learning from him in training), almost like he wants to be the main man. He's started this season superbly, particularly from the Liverpool game onwards.

V impressed with John last night. Looks physically stronger. Still the odd mistake here & there, but the improvement can't be ignored. Big test for him on Saturday to see how he copes with Morata's runs behind him, but lots of reasons to be optimistic.
