Don't know if anyone remembers the band King of the Slums from the late eighties/ early nineties, but they are getting back together and may do some gigs later in the year. If anyone is interested, I will post any details on here.

They released an album either last year or the year before which was mainly some demos, remixes, dub and unreleased stuff. It was ok, although a bit lo-fi.

I went to seem them at the Boardwalk when Dub Sex supported them. It was filmed for Snub TV and I am on the coverage looking very young.

Stockportblue, yes they did do a song called The Pennine Splitter, it was off their first album 'Barbarous English Fayre'.

They are one of my favourite bands even though I only saw them twice, the three/four albums they made are brilliant.

Let us know when the gig is, mate

I thought I would bump this thread because they have just posted this on Facebook:

31st August 2015. a brand new album of all new material is currently being considered. 22 new songs have been written and if financial obstacles can be overcome, then recording could begin late October 2015. Give us your thoughts on the idea. smile emoticon The band haven't really engaged with social media too much but here goes, give us your thoughts.
CK.
