You just didnt turn up from the first whistle to the last. Started too slow, let them into it and get the crowd up then carried on in 1st gear the whole first half. Second half started better but still slow to move the ball. Also didnt stop them long ball counters that everyone knew they were going to play.

Poor by Cancelo but he was one v one with Salah from your corner.

Not sure why you have a mental problem or inferiority complex going to Anfield considering the quality of your team. More annoying its probably kick started their season too.

Just go keep winning the rest of your games and keep them at arms length

The Boys in Blue didn’t give in. They fought to the end but it wasn’t to be this time. Thank you lads, thank you City, thank you fans. We live to fight another day. We’ll bounce back because we are still THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND IN ALL THE WORLD. :-)

Sorry not to be more upbeat but it might take a little longer this time!!

That result is on pep.

First half an hour we played their frantic game.

Changed formation from what we normally play.

Slow to make a change.

Disapointing but not shocked. Very good for us that both Arsenal and United managed to beat this lot. Hurts loosing these games but we are so good now that I have confidence that we will do enough over the course of the season.

Counts for little right now, but Nunez is a truly garbage footballer.

Cancelo on Salah was unforgivable but it is what it is.

The disallowed goal was the right call, so can't be too bitter
Disallowed goal was the right call IF you're going to call every other foul too. It's either a foul or it isn't, inside or outside the box. Had that been a Liverpool goal it would have stood.

Did Haaland have a single good chance?

Pep has explained often that he doesn’t make changes just because we fall behind or we haven’t scored, He keeps things the same as long as the game is going the way he wants, if we are on top in possession and creating chances.

So how do you get to 75/80 minutes without creating a single chance for your goalscoring machine and think “Nothing needs changing here, this is going fine”?

Bringing on Alvarez for 1 minute is a piss take as well, clearly he’s not expecting the kid to do anything, so what’s the reasoning behind that?

We will still win the league, this match doesn’t change anything there, but it’s certainly got me tempering any CL hopes.

That's the thing though. We need to be winning these types of games if we want to ever win the CL.
