Does anyone think the Police are so sure of his guilt that he's been named publically? I've just listened to a news report that said naming him was an unusual step.

Lostprophets lead singer Ian Watkins has appeared in court accused of conspiring to rape a one-year-old girl among other child sex offences.

Watkins, 35, whose band have sold millions of albums worldwide, was remanded in custody to appear at Cardiff Crown Court on December 31.

The singer, from Pontypridd, is alleged to have conspired with a woman to rape the girl, Cardiff magistrates were told.

He is also accused of two incidents of conspiring to engage in sexual touching with two young children; possessing, making and distributing indecent images; and possessing "extreme" animal pornography.

Obviously not the important issue, but I wonder if the rest of the band can sue him for loss of income - whatever little that back catalogue was worth is reduced to fuck all now. They made a fair few songs, must have been the odd royalty cheque now and again.

I presume the possession of extreme porn means they've either got his credit card details or it can be directly linked to his computer. This is how they got my old Scout Leader who went down for similar offences.
