Luton will learn so much from today and even if they don't stay up they can be proud of what they have done this season, A Giant of the Modern Premier League vs Luton, Talk about where City have come from, Spare a thought for where Luton have come from, Non League football not so long ago, One of the smallest grounds and small fan base and they come to the Etihad to play the best team in the world,
Luton fans must go away from today and dream that one day it could be them living the dream, That is football
You just never know the future and for Luton, it must taste nice mixing it with the big boys and let's hope they will be back if they go down,
City moves on to the Champions League in midweek, Let's hope Nobody at City thinks it's done and dust and all we have to do is turn up, Today's result and resting players will mean nothing if we don't get the job done

And that's my point. In previous seasons, we were rock solid in defence, & lethal up front. This season, our defence has looked vulnerable, & without Haaland's goal output of last season, it's made our games more uncomfortable than we'd have liked.The games I mentioned we scored 4, 3 and 2 which in those particular matches should have comfortably seen us over the line
Even as dominant as we were yesterday and as comfortable as the scoreline suggests, we gave three huge chances away only one of which was taken. If the other two had, it would have left a fractious final ten minutes
Barclay should have scored when he hit the bar and there was a fantastic save from Ederson
Thankfully, we've begun to add goals from around the squad again, but we seriously need to sort out our defensive frailties.
Looking at our personnel, they're all experienced at the apex of world football, & top drawer.
Could the inverted defender tactics to combat low defensive blocks be causing that vulnerability? Maybe... Probably... We must have faith that Pep has plans for our next tactical evolution.

long way to go regarding the titleWe changed our style of play from using a fluid false 9 where goals cane from throughout the team, to supplying a target man. This worked fine when everything Erling touched turned into goals, but now he's not hitting the heights of last season, we're suffering.
Over the last 2-3 months I sense Pep has sacrificed our style of play to supply Haaland, to one where we've reverted to bringing in other players during our build up play, to supply the goals which Erling isn't supplying at the rate he was previously.
We can see this by recent matches where we've begun scoring 3-4-5 goals a game again, with several different scorers, including Haaland. It's another Pep evolution, but one which may have come too late for the title this season, unless ArseAnal & the Dippers falter.

I'm saying pre-Haaland, goals scored were shared throughout the team. Since Haaland, our style has changed to supplying him the ammo to get those goals.So you're saying Haaland needs to bag three every game so we score at least five so we can win a game as we can't rely on our defence!
However, this season hasn't been as productive for him, & it's only over the last couple of months that we've begun to hit goals throughout the team again.
Added to our defensive vulnerabilities, it's made this season more uncomfortable than it needed to be.
In previous seasons we've been used to City & the Dippers being far ahead of everyone else, with us duking it out for the title.
This season it's a three-way race, with the chasing pack of Vanilla & Spuds being a further ten points behind, & Newcastle, the Rags & the Hammers being a further ten points behind them.
We've uncharacteristically dropped crucial points by either letting in sloppy goals, missing gilt edge chances, or in many cases a combination of both.
As things stand, the title is out of our hands. All we can do is try to win our remaining matches whilst reducing the goal difference, & hope ArseAnal & the Dippers slip up. It is what it is...

It worked well when everything Haaland touched turned to gold, but with us being defensively vulnerable, the over all effect has been exacerbated...
