New EDS Boss?

if not Wilcox I can't see Uwe coming into that development role.

More possibly someone who has experience of developing talent at Academies.
Who was the guy at Southampton who developed all them lot?

Rodolfo Borrell would make perfect sense. Been at the club for over 12 months, worked at Barcelona, Liverpool academies, respected by Pep.

It would be just reward for some fine work with the U18's if Jason Wilcox was given the job, it'll most likely be an internal appointment you'd suspect as you're then getting someone who is aware of what we're trying to do, has a rapport with the players and can continue the tactical side of things without breaking stride. We'll have planned this meticulously so will no doubt have someone lined up already.

It has to be Wilcox on merit, maybe Borrell to take over the u18s.

i think the general consensus is that wilcox is doing a great job where he is, so why distupt that? it needs someone with experience to bring a 19/20/21 year old into the first team - maybe that's what we lacked with Vieira?

Uwe would be a backwards 'jobs for the boys' type appointment. I don't think we should hire based on sentimental leanings. If he went for it, interviewed exceptionally then fair enough, but as it is he seemingly has no clear experience working with youth teams.

I don't think it'll be him anyway. It'll be a specialist appointment.

Do you reckon it's likely Wilcox will be promoted and we'll look for a new U18 manager, or will they keep him where he is and look to replace Vieira directly?
