Omar Berrada - COO

only if done properly, which they aren't. Either do airport style security and do it properly or don't bother, because half-hearted, lazy attempts at randomly picking blokes and scanning them and letting the women go through unscanned (because there's never ever been a female suicide bomber) just makes a mockery and makes it a) easy for someone bad to get in if they want and b) gives them lovely queues to blow up outside if they fancy it anyway.

So basically the club now give us 2 unsafe places to get blown up whereas before at least you could get through the turnstiles quickly enough to be low risk, and take your chances inside. Now, you're a prime target outside unless you give up your day and don't get stuck in traffic to get there early enough to be fortunate enough to avoid a queue, and then because the checks are so poor and lazy anyway you've still got pretty much the same chance of being blown up inside.

After the MEN you'd hope they'd sort it, but they've made no noises that they have.

I understand what you're saying about being a target outside but towards the end of the season the queues seemed a lot more organised and went down quicker (I go in at entrance M1). I go to the games with my friend and his sister and she's searched by a female steward at every game.

In my experience they check everyone, not just randomly picking them out, but I'm in the South Stand so it might be different elsewhere in the ground. I don't think arriving 15 minutes earlier, especially for weekend games, is that difficult.

Made me laugh that. I put my glasses on and instantly look like an old guy. Get waived through every single time!

I've found it really variable on who they check, the queues on different turnstiles are also really variable as are the level of checks. Doing outside the ground in queues is not safe with the current layout outside the ground and especially not after the MEN. On some occasions 15 minutes earlier is clearly not enough because they go far too slowly, and even with the best intentions getting there early is sometimes, even often not possible. They need to improve the system because at the moment we're sitting ducks.

That's why I posted this. How the club is run from an operational perspective is so important to all of us. We have a world class squad, probably the best coach in the world, best academy, best football business model. There is no reason why the operations can't match those standards and at the moment they don't. This guy Omar should be responsible for doing that. Let's see this season if there is a noticible improvement evident.

Spot on mate. I'm not a moaner but there is something seriously going wrong within the middle management at City. You've listed some of the cock ups which are abysmal. They no longer meet the fans for discussion and it's as if a bunch of reds are running the show.

In my experience of attending 7/8 games last season, i was never searched once. My 18yro lad was searched twice.
Which goes someway to prove randomness ;-)

Never said it did mate. I think this is positive that there is one executive who is now responsible for these things. And I am supremely chilled thank you for asking.

Huddersfield.....in peace.

You mentioned FOUR elements that you were dissatisfied with & added etc which presumes you have others. What are you saying you didn't say, just so we are all clear.

It's likely that most of these matters (complaints) will continue to go through Danny Wilson who I find very approachable & responsive but he works without a magic wand.

Keep chillin in white rose hinterland.

Danny Wilson is now actually the Operations Director. Lisa Eaton is the Fan Liason Officer.

A stupid American title that means nothing here, and likely to have the remit of maximising revenue off the fans rather than 'delighting' them.

Since when did football clubs have all these 'officers'? It is sad that English titles are being replaced with ones that have no legal significance here.
