For me:

Zabaleta Richards Kompany Clichy

Strength, pace, versatility and timing.

Richards...................Kompany....................Lescott................Clichy.

However I think a CB pairing of Richards and Kompany could well be the long term pairing!

This. I think we have a slight problem at CB this season. Mancini doesn't seem to have much cofidence in Lescott and Nasti and Richards are short of experience playing the position.

The long term solution is Richards/Nasti alongside VK but I'm not sure how the season will play out.
