Kondogbia's preferred position is CDM. It looks like Touré will stay judging by twitter, so we'll need a need CDM, Touré can't play CDM anymore, we need a dedicated CDM, who puts defending over attacking, Kondogbia would be perfect fit. Sterling might be expensive, but we need someone like him, he'll be an upgrade on Navas, young, HG, english, ticks all the boxes at once, he's just the player we are looking for.

What the f*ck did we buy Fernando for? We could easily have played the two Ferns with Yaya in front of them this season and got the best out of Toure as an attacking force especially in some of the big games. Unfortunately Pellegrini seems to be clueless!!! Or Milner next to Fernandinho with Yaya in front would have been ok ... Didn't really make the most of our squad. Milner wants to play CM and Toure wants to play further forward, that would have worked great IMO

Fernando was a worse buy than Javi Garcia, Fernando simply isn't good enough according to me.

The problem Sterling will have if he joins Madrid will be that he will be under intense pressure from the off. A pressure which could severely hinder his process.

You only have to look how Bale has been treated to see what sort of environment he will be developing in. Add to that the likes of Morata, Illaramendi and Isco have not had/been given the time to progress at the club.

I just think if they are unwilling to develop the best Spanish players without replacing them, then there is no chance they will develop Sterling to the best of his abilities.

Difference being sterling won't be straight into their starting 11 like bale was...

In fact i see this as positive as i thought sterling was overpriced. Now if this comes about there will be an option to take either isco or another, and given our previous interest in him, and pellers likely staying put for another season...its quite possibly a win/win scenario.

You can imagine a nice equilibrium forming between city and real this summer, given rumors floating around regarding linked players. That and the 350m handout...
