You want one that's been oak aged for at least 12 months, you can really tell the difference between these and most of the cheap supermarket Jacobs creek etc.

Light and fruity; Can't really go wrong with Valpollicella

Extremely light and fruity; Beaujolais. But only at lunchtime when the sun is beaming down.

If you want something easy drinking and light you can't beat:

Ernest & Julio Gallo White Zinfandel Rosé

Worth a go if you've never tried it and looking for a really light and fruity wine

Best place to start is something from Burgundy..
