Rumoured Newcastle takeover

I'd like to see Newcastle back amongst it at the top of the league. They've had their fair share of hardship in recent times. Passionate fans and a club with great potential. Does anyone know if Ashley sold the land behind the Gallowgate end which would prohibit a future expansion of the stand?

Apparently he sold the car park to the council

would be nice to have a feeder team in the Premier League, I'd rather Sunderland be the ones who get lucky but Newcastle is more first world.

Another premier league club sitting at the top table
FFP put paid to that...

Gill sorted that one out the ****...

I can see Ashley wanting out - that club (who he doesn’t support) has cost him millions - he didn’t do his due diligence and he bought a right bag of shite#. Sponsorship deals front loaded etc so he had to shore them up for the first few years and took a dogs abuse from the fans whilst he was doing it. I can never understand why anyone in their right mind would buy a football club. Ashley might be a twat but he’s pumped an awful lot of his own money into Newcastle and he’s got little in return. From his perspective what else could he do with that money he has tied up in the club ? Probably 101 things...
Spend it on ale and pies?

She was at that game because she's a Liverpool fan and her family live in nearby Ripon.

I thought the gallowgate couldn’t be made any bigger because there’s a metro station right behind it. And the stand to the left from the away end because there’s listed buildings right behind that one
