Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Defo looked tired in the second half errors again giving goals away missed chances.
Seem to be having a blip maybe we can turn that corner before the rags.

Chelsea level in minute 95 and we drop two points. Liverpool level in minute 80 and we drop two points. Spurs level in minute 90 and we drop two points.
And going further back, having not threatened us whatsoever for the entire match, Arsenal score in minute 86 and take all three points.
For years we have been very good at seeing games out. It's been our thing. We exercised control generally, but nowhere more than in the final ten to fifteen minutes. We can talk all we like about missed chances, and a truly abysmal refereeing mistake (if it was), but the plain fact is that we have been downright awful at seeing games out.
That is the most worrying aspect about what I've been seeing for quite some time.
We no longer have the type of players to see the game out yet we have the type to score more goals whci we were missing in the past!

Pep and the treble winners have nothing to prove to us in terms of character and bottle. It just seems dysfunctional at present and, I'm afraid, we're getting what we deserve. Liverpool and Arsenal are scoring late goals to get 3 points, we're conceding late goals to drop points. A long way to go but difficult to see how Pep changes it.
If we defend properly against Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs we gain 5 points
If we kill the game off against Liverpool we gain 2 points
7 extra points at this stage which we should have gained means a gap above all our rivals . It needs tweeking of some sort. Pep is paid to sort that out. As Oakie Cokie said earlier on here wrt defending we need to track back in numbers. Pep should see that.

Yes that was a crap refereeing decision at the end, but we only have ourselves to blame ,last season we saw these games out by just keeping the ball. This season we play a longer pass into the forwards ,who then lose it and give them the chance to attack.
Add that to wasted opportunities and things aren't going to plan.

Only ourselves to blame today, the misses were unacceptable, spurs should of been dead and buried by half time hopefully we can start the season in the New Year

Spot on

We have to find our way back to playing and winning and scoring tap-ins (Haaland) Look we are are still in a great place and a very big club world cup tournament for the club to play in the next couple of weeks,

I fucking love our club

It's his public criticism that fires his players up though and some of them need it.
Not always, this might be a time for the squad leaders to get everyone together and demand everyone ups their game,it's worked before.
