    On the other hand, he's in a no-lose situation.

    If Sunderland go down, he can blame the previous incumbents; if he manages to keep them up, it will be a fantastic achievement.

    Brilliant! Top man Coleman. Fair play to him for taking it. Hope they stick with him for 5 years. He will sort things out. Give him time.

    Interesting read here about how mismanaged the club's been over the years.

    I feel sorry for their fans given the way the club has been poorly ran - will never forget the way their fans cheers and poznan'ed at the rags when we won the league

    I never liked the guy as thought he had a high opinion of himself with no substance until I saw him in a post match interview after Wales got knocked out of the WC.
    Was so humble, hope he does well for his and Sunderlands sake.
